The rules every eWire News story is held to, before and after it publishes.
Sourcing
Stories are built on named, official sources: government agencies, court filings, company statements, published data, and public records. Every article lists its sources, and documents are linked so readers can check the record themselves. Claims that cannot be traced to a source do not publish.
Accuracy and verification
Facts, figures, names, and dates are verified against source material before publication. When a story is updated after publication, the update is stamped and, where material, explained in an update note on the article.
News and analysis
News reporting states what happened and who said so. Analysis, where it appears, is labeled as such and kept separate from the reported record. The two are never blended in a single unlabeled story.
AI assistance
Drafting at eWire News is assisted by AI systems. Drafts are reviewed and edited by people before publication, and oversight responsibility rests with the newsroom. The tools change how stories are assembled; they do not change what the newsroom is accountable for. Sourcing, verification, and corrections apply to every story identically, however it was drafted.
Corrections
Errors are corrected promptly and visibly on the article itself. The full policy, and the route for requesting a correction, is published at Corrections.
Independence
eWire News does not accept payment for coverage, and coverage decisions are not influenced by advertisers, partners, or the publisher's other interests. Conflicts of interest, where they exist, are disclosed in the story.
