About eWire News

A digital wire service covering the United States and the world, published by Publisher Resources.

eWire News reports on national affairs, world events, business, technology, science, and culture in a wire-service register: fast, factual, and current. Alongside the reported coverage, the site runs Radar, a live board of readings pulled directly from official public feeds, and publishes The Current, a free morning newsletter sent on weekdays at 7:00 ET.

How the newsroom works

Reporting is produced by desk teams using automation and AI-assisted drafting under human editorial oversight. In practice that means AI systems help assemble and draft stories from source material, and people review, edit, and approve what publishes. Editorial responsibility for every story rests with the newsroom, not with the software that helped draft it.

Three commitments hold regardless of how a story was drafted: every article carries a desk byline, cites its sources, and is corrected openly on the article itself when it is wrong. The full rules are at Standards, the correction policy at Corrections, and the desks on the masthead.
